Shipping Policy

Candy Corner ships nationwide to any residential or business address in the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship to PO boxes.

We strive to maintain accurate inventory levels on our website, but in the event one or more items is currently out of stock, we will remove the item(s) from your order. In this scenario, we will contact you to confirm you still want the in-stock items before the order ships. If all items on your order are out of stock, we will cancel your order and notify you immediately. If your order is cancelled or modified, your credit card will be refunded immediately for the appropriate amount.

All orders are shipped via FedEx Ground.

 

Processing Times

Orders that do not contain chocolate:

Non-chocolate orders placed Monday through Friday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day. Orders placed Monday through Friday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the next business day. Orders placed on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) will ship the following Monday. Exceptionally large orders may require 1-2 additional business days to process and ship.

All orders ship from our Carrollton, Texas warehouse. Depending on where you are located, you will receive your order anywhere from 1 to 5 business days after the order is shipped. Please check the FedEx map below to see an estimate of when you will receive your order.

Orders that contain chocolate:

If your order contains chocolate, the shipment date will vary depending on your location and the day you placed the order.

In order to prevent chocolate from melting, we avoid shipping chocolate orders on a day when the transit time includes a weekend. Even though we pack all chocolate orders with ice packs in insulated boxes, there is a risk of melting if the package sits on a hot delivery truck over the weekend. See specific examples of processing times below:

If your shipping address is in a 1-day zone (i.e. some parts of Texas, some parts of Louisiana):

  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Tuesday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Tuesday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Tuesday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Wednesday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Wednesday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Wednesday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Thursday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Thursday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Thursday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Friday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will ship the following Monday.

If your shipping address is in a 2-day zone (i.e. Alabama, Mississippi, most parts of Georgia):

  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Tuesday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Tuesday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Tuesday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Wednesday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Wednesday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Wednesday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Thursday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Friday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will ship the following Monday.

If your shipping address is in a 3-day zone (i.e. Florida, Arizona, most parts of California):

  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Tuesday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Tuesday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Tuesday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Wednesday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Thursday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Friday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will ship the following Monday.

If your shipping address is in a 4-day zone (i.e. Oregon & Washington):

  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday before 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the same day.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Monday after 12:00 PM Central Standard Time will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Tuesday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Wednesday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Thursday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on a Friday will ship the following Monday.
  • Chocolate orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will ship the following Monday.

 

Shipping Rates

During the warmer months (typically April through September), we will ship your chocolate item(s) in insulated boxes with ice packs. During this time, our shipping rate is higher for orders containing chocolate vs. orders that do not contain chocolate.

  • Orders that contain chocolate:
    • Orders under $150: $14.99 flat rate shipping via FedEx Ground
    • Orders of $150 or more: free shipping via FedEx Ground

  • Orders that do NOT contain chocolate:
    • Orders under $150: $9.99 flat rate shipping via FedEx Ground
    • Orders of $150 or more: free shipping via FedEx Ground

 

Chocolate Icing Policy

During the warmer months (typically April through September), we will ship your chocolate item(s) in insulated boxes with ice packs. All chocolate items are typically heat-sensitive, particularly premium brands of chocolate such as Lindt® and Russell Stover®.

Candy Corner will not be responsible for any chocolate items that melted during transit. We will not accept returns or refunds for any melted chocolate items unless the chocolate melted due to an issue with FedEx (i.e. there was a delay with FedEx and the order took longer to arrive than expected).

 

How to Prevent Your Chocolate Items from Melting

What We Do

  • During the warmer months (typically April through September), we will ship your chocolate item(s) in insulated boxes.
  • During the warmer months, we will also include ice packs in each insulated box.

What You Can Do

  • Ensure that someone will be at your shipping address to receive your order on the carrier's first delivery attempt.
  • Consider the weather/climate of your shipping location. If your location is hot year-round, you may want to avoid ordering a lot of heat-sensitive items. Alternatively, you can opt for expedited shipping so the chocolate items have a reduced risk of melting during transit.
